Z-2025_Fiber Foundations: Learn to Knit (Oct)

🧶Discover the timeless craft of knitting in this two-session beginner-friendly class! You’ll start by making a simple dishcloth to learn the knit and purl stitches, then move on to reading patterns and beginning your first project, like a scarf. Along the way, you’ll gain confidence with casting on, binding off, and fixing common mistakes. This class is perfect for teens, adults, and seniors. Your instructor, Stacy Bohovsky of Hoof Print Knits, will guide you step-by-step with patience and encouragement. She has over 15 years of experience and can teach both right-handed and left-handed students with ease and perfection.

What You’ll Learn:

• Yarn types, weights, and needles
• Reading simple patterns and basic stitches: knit & purl
• How to fix common mistakes
• Casting on & Binding off

What to Expect:

• You’ll practice the rhythm of knitting and begin your first new project. Between classes, you’ll work on your project and in the second session, we’ll focus on correcting common mistakes, troubleshooting, and getting you closer to starting your next creation.
