A Literary-Infused Arts Culture Collective
Reading may be a solitary activity, but through storytelling, we step into the elevated reading experience, together, where literature, creativity, and culture converge. Page Turners offers a thoughtfully curated gathering of readers who crave depth, dialogue, and artistry.
As a member, you’ll find an experience crafted with care and limited by design where each meeting invites you into an intimate circle of book lovers who value meaningful conversation and the transformative power of stories.
Page Turners is a cultural collective committed to preserving narratives, amplifying voices, and expanding arts access within rural communities. Every reader who joins us helps strengthen a creative ecosystem rooted in legacy, imagination, and community impact.
About Page Turners
Within the vibrant community of the Artists Art Center, the Page Turners Book Club offers a meeting space where stories inspire dialogue, readers connect across genres, and creativity flourishes through companionship.
We believe in the power of reading to bring people together and open minds. Whether you’re a longtime bookworm, a casual reader, or just stepping into the literary world for the first time, Page Turners welcomes you.
Each meeting is an opportunity to explore new voices, uncover hidden gems, and share perspectives.
The Fine Print: Reading Room Rules
- Be Kind and Respectful – We celebrate a wide range of authors, genres, and cultures. Keep an open mind and use discussions as a chance to learn from stories. We’re here to share ideas, not to argue them. Please respect different opinions, interpretations, and the reading experience.
- No Spoilers – We love good plot twists, but not when they’re spoiled! When sharing thoughts about the book, please give a spoiler alert if you plan to reveal key moments or the ending.
- Engage and Participate – Share your thoughts, ask questions, or suggest discussion topics. Don’t worry if you haven’t finished the book, come anyway because your perspective still adds value.
- Keep it Book Focused – We welcome creativity and connection, but please keep posts, comments, and meeting discussions centered on reading, writing, and literary arts.
- Celebrate Creativity – The Artists Art Center hosts this book club, so don’t be surprised if we blend literature with a little art, reflection, or inspiration along the way. Embrace it, that’s what makes Page Turners unique!
- Members Under 18 Years Old – We encourage all ages to enjoy reading, and welcome young adults, but a parent or guardian must accompany those under 18 to monthly meetings and Silent Page Turning Thursdays.

Join Us at Bound for Books
Bound for Books is a thoughtfully curated literary experience designed to honor the joy of reading, deepen community connection, and celebrate the cultural impact of books. Taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, this special PageTurners gathering blends the intimacy of the club’s regular book discussion with the energy of a public-facing book fair, creating a meaningful experience for both members and the broader community.
Throughout the day, attendees are invited to browse books, meet authors, discover literary-inspired goods, and engage in thoughtful conversation centered around storytelling and culture. Designed as a welcoming and accessible literary event, Bound for Books encourages readers, writers, educators, and creatives to slow down, reconnect through books, and celebrate the shared experiences stories create. Join us for a celebration of readers, stories, and the community that gathers around them.
- Celebrate National Book Lovers Day with a community-centered literary experience
- Extend engagement from the August 8th Book Club meeting into a public-facing event
- Support local authors, booksellers, and literary creatives
- Drive foot traffic, membership growth, and merchandise/book sales
- Strengthen PageTurners as a cultural literary collective, not just a club.
Silent Page Turning Thursdays
On Thursdays, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, members are invited to unwind and enjoy a peaceful afternoon of reading at the Artists Art Center. Bring your current book, grab your favorite drink, and settle in for an hour or two of sustained silent reading in a calm, cozy atmosphere.
You’re welcome to bring a light snack from one of our wonderful local cafes, or pack something from home, to enjoy while you read. It’s the perfect midweek reset for book lovers who appreciate quiet company and the simple joy of reading.
The Narrated Palette
Step into a world where color and storytelling intertwine to experience a new kind of creative escape; a special Sip & Paint session inspired by the book of the month, with the story brought to life through an audiobook narration instead of music.
As participants sip their favorite beverage, they’ll paint a pre-drawn canvas designed to reflect the tone, imagery, or emotion of the current read. While brushes dance across the canvas, the room fills with the voice of the narrator, carrying listeners into the world of the story.
Turning Pages: Books Between Us (A Shared Shelf)
Members are invited to donate gently used or new books to help build a Shared Shelf that allows stories to circulate, inspire, and connect more readers.
If you’d like to contribute, book donations can be dropped off at the Artists Art Center during regular business hours. Every donated book strengthens our collective love of reading and supports greater access to literature for all!

The Seasonal Storied Screen Series
We’re spotlighting stories that leap from the page to the screen. Each season, we’ll feature a film inspired by books or the spirit of book clubs. To begin, this spring we’re highlighting The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, a heartwarming story about a small-town bookstore owner whose life is transformed by unexpected connections, second chances, and the enduring power of books. It’s a perfect choice to reflect the spirit of our reading community. Available on Netflix
